IMAGINE DRAGONS

At the inaugural Southwest Invasion in 2012, we were lucky to have a new band headlining – Imagine Dragons. While we knew they were great, we couldn’t have known then that their 2012 debut album, NIGHT VISIONS, would become one of the biggest releases of the year and would launch the band to superstar status. Since playing our festival, the band has gone on to win Billboard’s Breakout Band (2013) and Biggest Band (2017) awards, an accolade from Rolling Stone calling their track Radioactive “the biggest rock hit of 2013,” three American Music Awards, nine Billboard Music Awards, one MTV Awards, one Grammy Award and one World Music Award.

In 2017 Imagine Dragons released their third album EVOLVE, and the smash single Thunder. Not busy enough with I.D. duties, lead singer Dan Stone also collaborated with famed composer Hans Zimmer on a track, Skipping Stones from the movie BELIEVER. A documentary that discusses LGBT church and the Church of Latter Day Saints, Dan was passionate about the subject matter and drawing attention to it. If that wasn’t enough, in July, Imagine Dragons released the single “Natural,” which is the anthem for the ESPN College Football season for 2018/19.

Keep your eye on new SWI artists – you never know where they will go!
