AUSTIN BREWERY HOPS & GRAIN PRESENTS HOMEGROWN STAGE, SPEAKEASY IPA & PINT NIGHT

Quantum Collective continues to develop its relationship with local Austin brewery Hops & Grain, who return in 2017 as a Southwest Invasion sponsor for the second year in a row.

Hops & Grain will be presenting the Southwest Invasion’s first ever Homegrown Stage, an additional stage on the Whole Foods Market flagship store’s rooftop plaza. Performances on the Homegrown Stage are scheduled to fall between sets on the Main Stage, allowing for guests to flow between the two on the rooftop plaza. Headliners on the Homegrown Stage include The Aces, Jamie Kent, and Lawrence. West Elm will be dressing the stage area among Hops & Grain’s beer barrels.

Hops & Grain have also created a beer specifically for Southwest Invasion called Speakeasy IPA. The brewery says, “Speakeasies became prominent during the Prohibition as they were illicit establishments that sold alcohol. Luckily, we are not in the same time period, but we like the rebellious nature behind the Speakeasy and the inclusiveness and creativeness behind the saloons as well. Knowing the weather in Austin to typically be nice and sunny (a.k.a. hot!), we brewed a juicy, refreshing India Pale Ale with tropical notes combined with melon… or as we say, magic!” Speakeasy IPA can be enjoyed exclusively on site at the Whole Foods Market flagship store’s rooftop plaza March 16-18.

For a sneak taste of Speakeasy IPA, beer lovers can try it at the annual Pint Night at Bar Lamar inside Whole Foods Market on North Lamar Boulevard on Tuesday, March 14 from 3-6pm. Also being poured will be Hops & Grain’s newest year-round release, River Beer, an extra-fine premium American Lager.

The sixth annual Southwest Invasion is hosted by Whole Foods Market and benefiting Whole Planet Foundation. This year’s generous sponsors include Clif Bar & Company, ZICO, Schwinn, Wells Fargo, Zevia, truRoots, Foodee, Hops & Grain, Califia Farms, OCHO Candy, West Elm, Health-Ade Kombucha, Dang, and Rishi Tea. Supporting partners include Section101, Riptide Music Group, Front Row Center, QSC, Red Boot PR, and Pledgeling.

An RSVP is required to attend Southwest Invasion. Space is limited.
